In some cases the My SafeCopy icon will continue to appear under your Windows computer after you uninstall. You can follow this procedure to manually delete the Windows registry keys that make the icon appear – open the Start menu, select Run and type “regedit” (without the quotes) – delete the following registry keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareClassesCLSID{8E5444D9-1A1E-45dd-BB40-47102
2EC48EE}
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorer
MyComputerNameSpace{8E5444D9-1A1E-45dd-BB40-471022EC48EE}
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorer
DesktopNameSpace{C51E62E3-7A35-4062-80C5-12B5688308B6}
Please note that the third set of entries may not appear for some operating systems.
