Missing Folders error message

If you see the message "Missing Folders" displayed on the SafeCopy status page this means that a folder which had been selected for backup is no longer on your computer.  The most common reason this happens is when a folder is moved or renamed.  This is typically not a problem but something good to be aware of so we display it as an alert on the status page.

To remove the message, go to your SafeCopy settings and adjust your backup selection to no longer include that folder and then click Apply.  That will adjust your backup selection and remove missing folder message.

VERY helpful, as I am thinking I may get some baggage off my computer and leave it on your site (as well as in an external drive here - never too much redundancy in my paranoid world). This will make it smooth sailing, knowing that I can remove things from my backup set while leaving the file on Safecopy for future use! thanks!

Is the list of directories that SafeCopyBackup will backup stored anywhere?  The reason I ask is for 2 incidents:

1) I got the "Missing Folders" message one day, but I can't determine which folder is missing.  The error message doesn't say which folder is missing.  Before I make this message go away, I want to make sure the "missing folder" was not mistakenly deleted.  Is there a way to determine which folder is missing?

2) My computer crashed and I had to re-install SafeCopyBackup. (More specifically, Windows 7 crashed, and when I rebooted, SafeCopyBackup got an error message saying something is corrupt and to please re-install, and as a result, it "forgot" what folders were backed up).  Now I have re-select which folders to backup, and I don't remember which folders were backed up.  I had such a crazy list of directories to backup, I don't remember what was backed up previously.  Is there a way to figure this out?

If I had the list of folders that SafeCopyBackup will backup stored in a file somewhere (XML?), I could easily resolve both of these scenarios.

Great suggestion on the XML format.  For now, the best way to tell would be to look at the folders backed up in your online SafeCopy account and replicate those folders.  You can use the WebDav view for a nice folder layout in Windows Explorer.  You can access this by clicking My Computer / My SafeCopy.
